The Ministry of Justice demands the confiscation of the property of ex-Minister Tabachnyk

On March 22, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court seeking sanctions against former Minister of Education and Science Dmitry Tabachnik.

According to the ministry, we are talking about the application of sanctions provided for in paragraph 11, part 1, article 4 of the Law of Ukraine “On Sanctions”.

This paragraph provides for the recovery for state income of assets belonging to an individual or legal entity, as well as assets in relation to which such a person can directly or indirectly (through other individuals or legal entities) perform actions identical in meaning to the exercise of the right to dispose of them.

The Ministry of Justice proposes to involve Alla Tabachnik in the consideration of the claim as a third party who does not make independent claims.

As you know, Dmitry Tabachnik is the former Minister of Education of Ukraine, who, after the events of the Revolution of Dignity, left Ukraine and is currently in the temporarily occupied territories.

The ministry notes that during the full-scale invasion, he, together with representatives of the highest authorities of the Russian Federation, organized and coordinated the activities of the heads of the occupation administrations of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions in the field of healthcare, education, and preparation for referendums.

Tabachnyk also expresses his position in support of the key propaganda rhetoric of the aggressor country - the so-called “denazification of Ukraine”, and actively participates in the logistics of the creation and functioning of occupation administrations.

As reported, last week the former Minister of Education and Science of the Yanukovych era, Dmitry Tabachnik, was sentenced to 15 years in prison in absentia.
