This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health. It is indicated that the system will include modules and registers that allow one to summarize complete information about donations, carrying out certain types of surveys, planning and monitoring.
It will provide accounting and control of the donation of blood and its components.
“This means that administrative procedures and production processes in the field of donating blood and its components will be functionally automated,” explained the Ministry of Health.
Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for Digitalization Maria Karchevich noted that ensuring the safety and quality of donor blood and blood components is Ukraine’s European integration obligations. The implementation of the system will help quickly obtain information about blood needs, as well as monitor blood supplies at both the national and regional levels.
“In addition, the resolution provides for the creation of a register of licenses, which will be transferred to the State Service for Medicines and Drug Control to maintain and perform functions related to licensing and implementation of state supervision (control) in the field of donation of blood and blood components,” it added.
