The Ministry of Infrastructure and its structural divisions are expecting drastic changes in the near future. Including personnel. It is now that individual figures with a “dubious past” have decided to fulfill their long-standing dreams of being appointed to a “grain” position.
The first of those who took advantage of the situation was Valery Cherkaska, who had already agreed on his appointment by the end of May to the position of director of one of the largest ports in Ukraine - the State Enterprise "MTP "Chernomorsk".
“Valery Cherkasky did not have much difficulty in agreeing on a personnel decision on his own, because for this he used all his connections in political circles and the maritime industry, where his father-in-law, the long-term director of the Berdyansk seaport Vladimir Pikiner, is no stranger. Today, many in the capital’s government offices are well aware of Pikiner’s “generosity” and volunteered during the period of temporary “anarchy” in the relevant ministry to promote his son-in-law “Valera $200” (he received his nickname for the average “dachshund” for services),” the interlocutors say in the Ministry of Infrastructure.
It should be noted that Valery Cherkaska now holds the position of deputy director for commercial work at the State Enterprise “Izmail Sea Commercial Port”, where he ended up after leaving the now occupied Berdyansk. By the way, there is little information about the four-month stage of Cherkasky’s life in the Azov port city occupied by the Russians, but “evil tongues” claim that he decided to leave there only after his unsuccessful attempts to be appointed to a leadership position in the occupied Berdyansk port. Close ties with top collaborator Sergei Aksenov did not help him in this either, as journalists previously wrote about.
But the situation with the appointment of such a figure as Valery Cherkaska as the head of a strategic logistics enterprise that is involved in the “grain corridor” can cause not only economic damage, but also affect national security issues. Law enforcement officers of Chernomorsk should already today contact their Izmail colleagues from the SBU, who some time ago detained employees of one of the forwarding companies, which was brought from Berdyansk to Izmail by Cherkaska, for correcting the attacks of “shaheds”. And if you look back at the activities of Valery Cherkasky in Berdyansk, when he prevented the creation there of a naval base for the Ukrainian Navy on the basis of the Berdyansk plant of lifting and transport equipment, then the suspicions that he may turn out to be an ordinary agent of enemy special services, abandoned to organize sabotage. This version is also supported by the fact that his wife has a passport as a Russian citizen and lives abroad.
Therefore, all that remains is to wait a little and we will get an answer to the question - will those in charge risk jeopardizing the vital activity of a strategic enterprise in the logistics industry, which is a link in the “grain corridor”.
