Multicoin Capital will allocate funds to Solana to support candidates for the US Senate

Hedge fund Multicoin Capital will invest in Sentinel Action Fund, a super political action committee (PAC) promoting pro-crypto Republican U.S. Senate candidates. Fund partner Kyle Samani announced this on his X (formerly Twitter).

It is known that Multicoin Capital will double all donations that users make in Solana coin (SOL). The Sentinel Action Fund plans to raise $1 million by July 14, 2024.

“We do this because we understand that political participation matters, and that starts with supporting candidates who believe America should remain free to innovate,” Samani said

Note that the Sentinel Action Fund supports four Republican candidates: Sam Brown, Dave McCormick, Bernie Moreno and Tim Sheehy. A report from CoinDesk said they all received an "A" rating from cryptocurrency advocacy group Stand With Crypto, which Coinbase leads.

Let us remind you that earlier the co-founder of the Kraken crypto exchange Jesse Powell donated $1 million in crypto assets to Donald Trump for his election campaign. He also accused some American politicians of “attacking” the cryptocurrency sector.
