The State Bureau of Investigation exposed the commander of the regional department of the territorial defense forces “South” in the Odessa region, who forced soldiers to build an estate for him, the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reports.
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, together with the SBU, reported suspicion to the commander of the regional department of the territorial defense forces “South”, who forced his subordinates to build him a private house.
The official involved 3 military personnel in the construction of his estate back in 2023.
The military spent more than a year building a house for their boss, while receiving additional payments for supposedly carrying out combat missions on the front line.
The commander was informed of suspicion of exceeding official authority, which caused significant harm under martial law (Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces up to 12 years in prison.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure for the official is now being decided.
