In the Carpathian region, a “supervisor” was detained for extorting debts from people

The attacker had the status of a criminal authority since 2005. He organized a gang whose main “specialization” was extorting funds from people: both for debt obligations and demanding non-existent debts

Having influence in the criminal environment, the 53-year-old defendant helped customers resolve their issues.

Law enforcement officers documented the fact that an Odessa resident contacted the so-called “supervisor.” He asked in any way to help repay the debt from his former business partner, a local entrepreneur. To obtain money, the bandits, under the strict direction of the leader, systematically threatened the victim with physical violence and destruction of his property.

During 2023, police collected information about the criminal’s involvement in at least 5 episodes of extorting funds from people, including by order.

The so-called “watcher” was detained on January 26. He was informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Searches were carried out at the home and in the car of criminals. Police seized drugs, a mobile phone and a car.

Now a full circle of persons is being established who may be controlled by the so-called “supervisor” and involved in the demand for funds.

Let us remind you that earlier in Khmelnitsky, law enforcement officers neutralized a group of racketeers who put local residents on the “counter”. All gang members had considerable criminal experience.
