The national police did not find a Russian passport in the wife of Deputy Head Tishlek when she returned to work

Additionally, during the review process, no other reasons were found for Tishlek's dismissal from his current position.

The person involved in the journalistic investigation regarding possible connections with Russia, Deputy Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine Dmitry Tishlek, returned to his duties, since the internal investigation did not reveal facts indicating the presence of Tishlek’s connections with any criminal authorities, including those mentioned in the journalistic investigation.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Deputy Chairman of the National Police Tishlek was suspended from official duties from October 28 to November 28 while an internal investigation was conducted. On November 29, Tishlek returned to duty. At the same time, Tishlek’s distribution of responsibilities was changed and the coordination and direction of the activities of criminal police units was excluded.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the commission that conducted the official investigation did not establish “facts indicating the presence of connections between Tishlek D.P. and any criminal authorities, including those mentioned in the journalistic investigation.” The Ministry of Internal Affairs also noted that they have no reason to test Tishlek with a polygraph, and on his own initiative he does not express such a desire.

“At the same time, we inform you that the conclusion on establishing the grounds for the dismissal of Tishlek D.P. it is possible to do this after receiving the results of the review of the materials of the internal investigation in the National Anti-Corruption Committee and the State Bureau of Investigation,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs summarized.

Let us recall that at the end of October 2023, investigative journalists released information alleging that the Deputy Chairman of the National Police of Ukraine Dmitry Tishlek uses the real estate and car of the family of the partner of the head of the Rostov criminal group, and his wife Alexandra Balakai did not lose her Russian passport even after the Russian invasion.

After the investigation was released, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Igor Klimenko, removed Dmitry Tishlek from his post and ordered an internal investigation. It was also said about the opening of criminal proceedings.

During the investigation, Dmitry Tishlek continued to receive wages and other types of allowance .
