People's Deputy Zhupanin "showed up" in London during the war: third time a month

During a full-scale war, MP from the Servant of the People party Andrei Zhupanin regularly visits London, where his wife lives and where he studies at a local business school.

Journalists report that Zhupanin explains his frequent trips abroad with “parliamentary work” and official business trips.

On June 11, his wife Bogdana Zhupanina posted on Instagram a joint photo with her husband, which, according to journalists, was taken on the streets of Chiswick and Merton in London.

Until June 20, she regularly published photos and videos of walks in London. On June 16, she posted pictures from the restaurant, in which journalists recognized Zhupanin.

This post was subsequently deleted. According to the Verkhovna Rada, Zhupanin was absent from important votes during this period.

Since the beginning of 2023, Rada deputies cannot leave Ukraine on non-state affairs, according to the decision of the National Security and Defense Council. Journalists found out that Zhupanin became a student at London Business School in August 2022 and received a scholarship to partially cover the cost of training in 2023. In an article for LBS, he mentioned that at least once a month he spends 54 hours traveling to London, where he spends 48 hours.

Zhupanin explained to reporters that he now travels to London only on work matters, despite preliminary statements about training. According to him, over the past months he visited London three times, including from June 8 to 16.
