People's Deputy from OPZZh Bort was expelled from the VSK regarding fortifications and drones amid a scandal about his “past”

People's Deputy of Ukraine from the OPZZh party Vitaly Bort was expelled from the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the purchase of drones and the construction of fortifications. Dmitry Razumkov was appointed to his place. However, amid the scandal, not only his candidacy was replaced.

It should be noted that changes in the composition of VSK were preceded by a scandal that erupted after the publication of the Schemes project. The investigation dealt with the fact that at that time the current representative of the newly formed VSK, Vitaly Bort, as it turned out, voted for “dictatorial laws” and supported a referendum “on the future fate of Donbass.”

Moreover, Schemes journalists found out that, as a deputy, Vitaly Bort flew to the occupied Crimea from Russia several times, namely in the period from 2014 to 2016.

And in 2023, he was sent to Hungary for 6 days, and stayed abroad for 2 months and met with Orban’s ally, Lorinc Nocho, who was not allowed to enter Ukraine.

After this, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported that they were investigating criminal proceedings “in connection with the commission of official forgery by a current people’s deputy of Ukraine.” However, six months later the results of the investigation were not reported

Thus, non-factional people’s deputy Dmitry Razumkov was appointed to replace Bort. Elizaveta Bogutskaya from the Servant of the People party was also replaced; her place will be taken by fellow party member Igor Mudriy.

It should be noted that as part of the commission, the now notorious people's deputy Bort was supposed to work with other deputies, in particular, to “study the circumstances and prepare questions” regarding the needs and formation of the state order of drones for the Defense Forces and the arrangement of fortifications.

As previously reported, the parliament planned to create a temporary special commission, and on Wednesday, May 22, the Verkhovna Rada approved the decision to create the VSK for fortification and procurement of drones. Nikolai Zadorozhny was appointed head of the commission.
