People's Deputy Yatsenko "gave" his relatives a luxurious estate in Kozin with its own forest

Parliamentarian Yatsenko, whose official income is $1,000 a month, transferred a luxurious estate in the Kiev region, which is worth approximately 5 million conventional units, to his father-in-law.

A modest people's choice or an underground dollar millionaire? People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Anton Yatsenko managed to be involved in a number of corruption and ethical scandals, including one of them related to a precious palace in the Kiev region - because of the parliamentarian’s “house”, local residents lost access to the communal coast. StopKor looked into the deputy's fence.

Who de jure and de facto owns the VIP estate in Kozin and how does the odious politician Anton Yatsenko ? Journalist Igor Dotsenko spoke in a video report .

The elite village of Kozin in the capital region is home to the wealthiest people in Ukraine: the average cost of a plot ranges from 100 thousand to a million US dollars. The center of Kyiv can be reached from here in 20 minutes, and literally a kilometer away is the residence of the President of Ukraine.

As our colleagues from the bihus.info project have established Therefore, StopKor decided to look at the politician’s probable home more carefully: there is something to see.

“A snow palace of 1,500 square meters with an area of 1.3 hectares, detached houses for staff, a swimming pool, a small forest on the territory, and a tennis court. In other words, everything you need for a comfortable and carefree life. The cost of such a luxury estate is also not small ,” comments reporter Igor Dotsenko.

Pleasant ''amenities'' on the estate

As real estate expert Alexey Gnuchikh , sales prices for such houses start at $2 million.

“How much more depends on the condition of the house. There are 1500 meters: what condition is it in, is there any repairs, finishing, what kind of equipment, furniture is there, what design solution is there, what year was it? That is, the price could rise to 5 or 7 million dollars ,” he added.

Other “conveniences” on site will also cost a pretty penny.

A similar tennis court at minimal prices costs from 700 thousand UAH. Swimming pool – about another 600 thousand UAH. The prices will also include two houses, good paths, a forest and a gazebo on the water. In general, according to experts, you will have to pay at least $3 million for the estate itself, and another 2 million for the surrounding territory. By the way, regarding the site, there are certain questions about it. Namely, about access to the reservoir for local residents.

“Within the coastal protective strip, the construction of any structures, such as summer houses, recreation centers and parking lots, is prohibited, with the exception of hydraulic and navigational structures. Since this coastal protective strip belongs to communally owned lands, the local government must provide residents with unhindered access to this body of water. Responsibility for violation of water use rules is determined by part 2 of article 60 of the Criminal Code on administrative offenses ,” comments lawyer Bogdana Sych .

The StopCor team tried to check whether there was free access to water, but the estate’s guards did not allow media workers to enter the territory.

Moreover, one of the buildings may also be erected with violations, because according to the standards, nothing can be built at a certain distance from the reservoir. Since the Kozinka River is a small river, its coastal protective strip is 25 meters.

Seized coastal strip and illegally constructed building

And finally, who is the real owner of this luxury residence? When, according to documents, the house belonged directly to Yatsenko. But since 2010, according to the register, this property is already owned by Ivan Kravchuk , the people’s deputy’s father-in-law. Although for some reason Ivan himself lives in an ordinary village, and the house is a little simpler.

“Now let’s calculate how much time the people’s deputy needed to earn money for this palace. According to the declaration, Yatsenko earns about $1,000. Therefore, even according to rough calculations, a people’s deputy with such a salary should work for about 800 years ,” the journalist emphasizes.

So that there is no doubt that this house is indeed a parliamentary house, reporters recorded on video how Anton Yatsenko hurries to work and on different days leaves this particular estate. Although, according to the declaration , he is just a tenant living for free with his retired father-in-law.

Let us note that this area of one and a half thousand could well accommodate a rehabilitation center for Ukrainian soldiers. There are water treatments, a pleasant landscape, and a beautiful view to calm you down from the horror of the front line.

And people’s deputies and other politicians should be reminded of Article 368-2 of the Criminal Code regarding “Illegal enrichment”, which provides for criminal liability, namely imprisonment for up to two years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years with confiscation of property .

Let us remind you that People's Deputy Anton Yatsenko attracted the attention of the media with his vote for the opening of e-declarations. The politician found himself in the ranks of parliamentarians who pressed “against”. Although a year ago he allegedly advocated openness and transparency in the declaration of wealth. Having analyzed the family’s property status, in addition to the notorious palace in the Kiev region, StopCor investigators discovered a number of new valuable real estate owned by close relatives of parliamentarian Anton Yatsenko.
