They made money from the repair of defense facilities: the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion to the head of the KEV and an entrepreneur from Volyn

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the DSR of the National Police, exposed the head of the apartment maintenance department of one of the cities in the Volyn region and the director of a private enterprise, who robbed the local budget of more than 2.2 million UAH.

The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported this.

Last fall, the housing and maintenance department concluded 4 contracts with a private enterprise for the renovation of premises used for the needs of one of the armed formations in the region. A subvention of almost 10 million UAH was allocated for these works.

However, the official and the contractor decided to put part of the funds into their own pockets. Throughout 2023, the director of the enterprise entered false data into the certificates of work performed: he inflated the cost of materials, entered work that the enterprise did not actually perform.

The head of the KEV signed falsified certificates of completed work, after which the funds were transferred to the company’s accounts. Due to such fraud, the local budget suffered damage of more than UAH 2.2 million.
