The NBU introduced a new unusual 10 hryvnia coin into circulation

The commemorative coin “Ukrainian Language” is made of silver and has a face value of 10 hryvnia. Its circulation is up to 5 thousand pieces. It continues the series “Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine”.

The design of the coin was created by artists Vladimir Taran, Alexander Kharuk, Sergey Kharuk.

As stated on the NBU website, on the obverse there is a stylized letter “Ї” with a nightingale, which symbolizes the melody and melodiousness of the Ukrainian language; in the center of the letter is the small State Emblem of Ukraine; On the mirror background of the coin there is a texture of the contours of the letters of the Ukrainian alphabet, which is associatively reminiscent of a nest (as a symbol of home and a talisman of the family).

On the reverse of the coin there is a stylized composition consisting of letters of the Ukrainian alphabet.

You can buy a silver commemorative coin “Ukrainian Language” from October 27, 2023 in the online store of numismatic products of the National Bank of Ukraine. A total of 2,500 thousand coins will be sold through the online store, the first thousand coins will be available from the first day of sale. In addition, from November, this silver commemorative coin will be gradually sold by distribution banks (JSC AB Ukrgasbank, JSC AB RADABANK, JSC TASKOMBANK, JSC CB PrivatBank) as they are shipped by the NBU mint.
