New stage of cooperation: Ukraine and Poland unite border checkpoints

Ukraine and Poland have begun implementing an initiative according to which they will launch common checkpoints on the border between the countries.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal

According to him, the government’s current task is to introduce joint customs and border controls with the EU countries.

“That is, there will be one checkpoint where representatives of both states will work. By doing this, we achieve greater integration into the European space, speed up logistics, and minimize corruption. We are implementing a pilot project on the Polish-Ukrainian border"

He clarified that Ukraine wants to implement such an initiative on the border with Romania. A corresponding proposal has already been sent to the Romanian side.
