The HACC Appeals Chamber has put on the international wanted list the former director of the Zaporozhye Titanium-Magnesium Plant (ZTMC), Vladimir Sivak, who is on trial on charges of embezzlement of property.
This decision was made on September 6, according to data in the court registry.
It is noted that the HACC Appeals Chamber overturned the decision by which Sivak was acquitted in the case of embezzlement of almost 500 million UAH.
At the same time, the judges found him guilty of abuse of official position for 18.62 million UAH. Sivak was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison, but no preventive measure was chosen. The Supreme Court overturned this verdict and ordered a retrial of the appeal.
The court decision states that the SAPO prosecutor asked to put Sivak on the international wanted list because he went abroad on December 24, 2022, the day after the announcement of the decision of the AP VACS.
The publication “Word and Deed,” with reference to court materials, notes that Sivak has six minor children.
“The prosecutor’s request is granted. Announce an international search for the accused.
Control over the implementation of this resolution is entrusted to the SAPO prosecutor, who maintains the state prosecution in criminal proceedings. The criminal proceedings should be stopped until a search is made,” the decision says.
Let us remind you:
The State Property Fund is preparing for privatization three large enterprises in Zaporozhye: Zaporozhye Titanium-Magnesium Plant, Silicon Polymer and Zaporozhye Aluminum Production Plant.
The Civil Court of Cassation, as part of the Supreme Court, left unchanged the decisions of the courts of previous instances, according to which the entire property complex of the Zaporozhye Titanium-Magnesium Plant was returned to state ownership.
