In the spotlight

Where did the daughter of prosecutor Oleg Gunko, who was caught taking a bribe, get the money?

The official was detained by NABU detectives while receiving a bribe of 170 thousand dollars

A student at the prestigious Kyiv Institute of International Relations (KIMO), 19-year-old Angelina Gunko relaxes in 5-star hotels, travels around Europe and wears Gucci. Journalists were sincerely surprised where the daughter of a civil servant got money for brands.

So, Angelina’s father is the prosecutor of the office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Oleg Gunko. NABU just caught two top prosecutors taking a bribe of 170 thousand dollars. And according to journalist Yuri Butusov, we are talking about our Oleg Gunko.

When mom and dad are prosecutors

Over the last year 2023, Oleg Gunko received 478,646 UAH of pension, 1,331,677 UAH of salary and income from the provision of property for rent of 9,305 UAH. He also keeps $60,000 in cash.

Angelina's mother is not mentioned in Oleg Gunko's declaration. The last mention of his wife was in 2019. Alina Gunko also works in the prosecutor’s office, albeit in the Khmelnitsky region. The mother’s earnings are 305 thousand hryvnia for the entire 2023.

Restaurants, travel, brands

“Telegraph” looked at the prosecutor’s daughter’s Instagram. Luxury brands are immediately visible here: we recognize a Celine bag, if it is an original, it costs about 3,600 euros (161,772 UAH), a YSL belt costs about 495 euros (22,247 UAH).

Also in the photographs of the KIMO student, vacations in several difficult locations are noted. In particular, we recognize the 5-star Odessa hotel Villa Le Premier, where the girl was in August 2023; in January of this year, Angelina visited the Bukovel resort.

In addition, we may see travel to Europe. The photographs show the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Germany, Poland.

Both prosecutors indicate that she lives in the KIMO dormitory. So, on Instagram you can see the university itself from the inside.

However, regarding housing, the interiors there no longer resemble dormitories. We see an empty, clean kitchen, an intercom, a wardrobe. Has anyone seen this in a hostel?
