Pivovarsky is free. The court lifted the restrictions on the ex-minister

The court lifted the restriction on the former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Andrey Pivovarsky. He held the position from 2014 to 2016.

The ex-official reported this on his Facebook page. Pivovarsky noted that the decision was made on September 14.

However, the court did not release his bail.

“Friends, I would like to inform you that today all restrictions imposed by the court have been lifted from me, except for bail,” Pivovarsky wrote.

According to him, the prosecution did not file a motion to extend the restrictions with the court and the lifting occurred automatically.

“Thus, lawyers continue to read the investigation materials, and I continue to conscientiously follow the court’s instructions and work,” Pivovarsky concluded.

As previously reported, the former minister was given a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 9.997 million hryvnia in a case of abuse of official position. On May 22, 2022, Pivovarsky and his first deputy Vladimir Shulmeister were announced of suspicion of abuses, due to which the state suffered losses of more than $30 million.

The case concerns ship dues in the seaport of Yuzhny. It is noted that in July 2015, the minister and his first deputy, who was also the head of the tariff council of the ministry, “extended” the adoption of the order on ship dues.
