Why were so many missiles launched at Kyiv: analysis of Putin’s actions

The enemy began to apply a new strategy in the capital of Ukraine.

missile attack on Kiev in 2024 was notable for the fact that the enemy launched missiles in waves along the same course. The Shahed UAV also moved along the same route that night. In total, in the morning the enemy fired 10 Kinzhal ballistic missiles, about seven dozen Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles and more than 30 suicide bombers at the capital. What tactics the enemy has resorted to and what goal the Russians are pursuing with these attacks - military expert Oleg Zhdanov explained on Apostrophe TV.

The Russians are trying to overload the air defense system. Russian missiles are moving like troops in the Middle Ages - formation after formation, square after square. Thus, the enemy is trying to catch the moment when our air defense system has fired a certain number of anti-missile missiles and it needs time to reload.

Thus, the Russians hope that our air defense system will not have time to recharge, so the enemy fires missiles along the same route.

In addition, judging by the number of missiles fired, especially if we take into account December 29, the Russians do not have any shortage.

Most likely, the main purpose of these strikes is a combination. That is, combine different types of missiles with different trajectories in order to penetrate our air defense system as effectively as possible. And then we will look at the number of missiles in raids. If it reaches several dozen, this is a combination with an attempt to penetrate our air defense system.
