After the damning article in the New York Times and the subsequent noise in the Ukrainian information field, we decided to figure out what really happened to Sergei Pashinsky and what he is actually accused of.
But in the process of searching for information that would shed light on the truth in this matter, we came across interesting facts that further convinced us that everything is not so pure with this story.
So let's start from the beginning. It all started with an article in the American edition of the New York Times. From a revealing article in which Sergei Pashinsky appears as a shadow cardinal in the field of arms production. Like a weapons baron. Evil in its purest form.
According to journalists in the New York Times, a company associated with Pashinsky became the largest private arms supplier in Ukraine when the full-scale invasion began. This was due to the fact that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry was faced with the problem of a shortage of weapons. And there was no other choice but to contact a person suspected of corruption, illegal enrichment and murder - Sergei Pashinsky and the Ukrainian Armored Vehicles company, which is also associated with him.
By selling weapons at speculative prices to a state that had no other options to buy, Sergei Pashinsky received criminal profits and unprecedented authority. With each transaction, prices grew - as did the profits of Pashinsky’s associates - as long as the Ukrainian Armed Forces were at war.
And under such a simple scheme, we see how money is being cut to help in defense from the EU, because it was for this money that weapons were bought, or rather, what was sold under the guise of weapons, and before that was purchased in the countries of the former “Warsaw Pact”. And all this was protected by the state itself and the Minister of Defense Reznikov.
The article in the New York Times came out exactly at the moment when it became clear to everyone that Reznikov would be removed from his post. It was at this time that a wave of corruption scandals broke out with the Ministry of Defense. All circumstances indicated that it was time to stop this cycle of corruption and finally get down to business.
The consequences of the article hit Ukraine in a continuous stream of revelations. There were a lot of materials about Pashinsky and the whole scheme of wasting money allocated for our defense. Even Wikipedia reflected this scandal and a section about the “Arms Scandal of 2023” appeared in an article about Pashinsky.
And then miracles began... Somehow, magically, one fine day, this paragraph from Wikipedia disappears . Although it was confirmed by many independent sources, they could not remove it as untrue. So where did the “Gun Scandal of 2023” ?
When we started checking the information field of Ukraine for the presence of revealing articles, a translation of an article from the New York Times, or at least quoting it, all the materials disappeared. Materials 404 . It was as if they weren't there. And here the logical questions arise - “How?” And “Who benefits from this?”
We think there is no need to explain this.
Could it be that Sergei Pashinsky himself had a hand in cleaning this dirty stain from the network and from his biography, for which, after victory, he will have to answer?
The loss of materials is even more alarming. And we, in the editorial office, want to understand whether the New York Times has only dug out the tip of the iceberg? Maybe there are even deeper layers of corruption that have not yet surfaced. But this is only for now...
