Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin said this at a briefing on January 22.
He noted that two more cases are currently being investigated regarding the purchase of low-quality body armor and personal protective equipment in the amount of more than 1.4 billion hryvnia, the supply of low-quality winter uniforms in the amount of 945 million hryvnia and embezzlement of budget funds in the amount of more than 250 million hryvnia. .
In addition, law enforcement officers launched more than 220 criminal proceedings on corruption and violations in the field of military records. This is more than 4 times more than in 2022, Kostin noted. In 2023 and January 2024, 189 military personnel and TCC employees were reported as suspected. This is three times more than in 2022.
