Against the backdrop of increasing general mobilization in Ukraine, according to the bill, which will be developed by the end of the year with the participation of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, it is planned to expand the rights of the TCC.
This was announced by the Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Roman Kostenko on Radio NV.
“They will also be able to make both audio and video recordings. They will be able to check registration documents and documents, as far as I remember,” Kostenko said.
At the moment, Territorial Recruitment Centers do not have the right to stop citizens, check their documents and serve summonses.
“The police sometimes distance themselves from this so as not to become some kind of center of a scandal, so as not to attract a person. And one can understand both the police and the TCC, who have plans, and the people they are illegally trying to attract. But those who have a responsibility, in accordance with the Constitution, to protect the country,” he said.
In Ukraine, a fierce war has been going on for nine years with Russia, which attacked us. Since February 2022, there has been a full-scale war. The process of serving subpoenas is not an automatic ticket to war, but, first of all, updating the data of Ukrainian citizens. Thus, following the summons, a person liable for military service may be called up for military service. This is a normal process in a country at war. It should not be forgotten that it is the duty of every Ukrainian to defend their country. For if today you run away from war, tomorrow it can come to you.
