Polygon Labs has released a kit for developing L2 networks on Ethereum

Polygon Labs has created a software toolkit for developing and running Layer 2 Ethereum networks based on zero-knowledge proof technology.

According to the description, Polygon CDK is a modular open source framework. The solution allows any developer to launch their own L2 network, which will be connected to other chains through a common ZK bridge.

Polygon Labs positioned the solution as an evolution of the Supernets platform, which allows projects to use application chain protocols similar to sidechain.

“All blockchains deployed using the Polygon CDK are interoperable, have automatic access to the single liquidity of all Polygon chains, and one-click access to assets on Ethereum,” the developers said.

Networks launched using Supernets can also be converted to L2 protocols using ZK Polygon technology.

Let's remember that in June the Polygon Labs team revealed the proposed architecture of the next iteration of the network called Polygon 2.0. The developers outlined the concept of the update as the goal of turning the blockchain into a “value level” for the Internet.
