Police officers are conducting searches in the offices and warehouses of companies owned by former Kyiv City Council deputy Leonid Kryuchkov. These organizations are suspected of financial fraud in the purchase of products for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to media reports, we are talking about ATOMSERVICE LLC, RECTAN LLC, ARKHIMAGIR LLC, ARMISET LLC and a number of other companies with the help of which Kryuchkov earns billions from food tenders with the Ministry of Defense.
“According to information officially published in open sources, Kryuchkov’s group of companies signed contracts for the supply of food packages with the Ministry of Defense in the amount of more than UAH 9 billion in 2023,” the statement says.
However, the products supplied by the companies are of poor quality. So, instead of butter, the supplier purchased a spread made from palm oil, which is hazardous to health, and sold it to the Armed Forces at three times its actual market value.
Previously, Kryuchkov’s companies appeared in investigations by the SBU and the State Bureau of Investigation. In particular, when delivering products from one of the companies to a division in the Kharkiv region, a significant shortage of goods was recorded for a total amount of more than UAH 5 million.
Let us recall that the media reported that in 2023, only one of the companies involved, Atomservice, won eight auctions from the Ministry of Defense for UAH 7.21 billion. At the same time, the interests of Atomservice were publicly lobbied by a member of the Anti-Corruption Council under the Defense Ministry, Dana Yarovaya, despite the fact that the company officially had signs of unreliability.
