The head of the Ministry of Defense reports that Finland plans to start producing ammunition for Ukraine.
Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen said Finland plans to increase the production of artillery ammunition in order to send it to arm Ukraine.
“We have completed negotiations that Finland will increase the production of heavy ammunition in order to send it to Ukraine. This decision will be made in the near future,” the head of the defense department said in an interview with the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.
Häkkänen expressed hope that the issue would be resolved by Christmas. It is noted that the costs of increasing ammunition production will increase to tens of millions of euros.
