UCP prosecutors were caught taking a bribe of $170 thousand to close the case

NABU and SAPO exposed prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General of receiving improper benefits in the amount of $170 thousand for making a decision to close criminal proceedings.

One of the prosecutors was detained after receiving illegal benefits. He was informed of suspicion under Part 4 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of reporting suspicion to other participants in the crime is being resolved.

Warning. According to the first part of Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until his guilt is legally proven and established by a court conviction.
