The vice-rector of the capital's university went abroad and received a bonus of 7 million

At the Kiev State University of Infrastructure and Technology, they discovered that one of the vice-rectors, who went to work abroad after the start of the war, received huge bonuses - almost 7 million hryvnia for two years. This is highly suspicious, given that the other scientists who remain are paid much less.

When martial law was declared in the country, many teachers fled abroad. But that doesn't seem to have stopped some of them from continuing to use dubious methods to make money.

It turns out that there is such a thing in the education system: the rector can decide for himself who and how much to pay bonuses. And this creates room for all sorts of shenanigans. So at the university, the rector decided to distinguish his vice-rector - and this “ate” a piece of the budget.

Bonuses for university teachers and administration are a separate issue. If rectors are “controlled” by several authorities at once, then vice-rectors can be called “free” people. The rector can give them bonuses as he wants, and there are no rules, no restrictions.

So it turned out that one of the vice-rectors, while abroad, received such awards that ordinary people simply wouldn’t believe their eyes.

And that is not all! It turned out that the university had other problems. The court banned the use of university premises due to fire safety problems, and there was simply no money to solve them. This seems rather strange, especially considering how much money was spent on bonuses for the vice-chancellor.

Now state auditors are going to find out in detail what is happening at the university and how to correct this mess. After all, in the end, the money that should go to the development of education is not used for needs.
