The protest in Ukraine has ended: an agreement to lift the blockade on the border with Poland has been reached – State Border Guard Service

The protest of Polish carriers in front of the Dorogusk-Yagodin checkpoint ended on December 11 at 14:00 Kyiv time. This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine-Western Border with reference to information from the Polish Border Guard.

“The registration and passage of freight vehicles across the border in both directions is carried out as usual,” the publication notes.

According to the department, before the blockade, 1,200-1,300 trucks crossed the border through this direction per day. Whereas during the protest action, 100-130 truckloads of cars were registered to enter Ukraine, and about 30 to leave.

According to journalist Evgeny Plinsky, tomorrow, December 11, the blockade at the checkpoint in Rava-Russkaya will be lifted , and then all other checkpoints.

Let us recall that due to the blockade of the border, European deputies addressed a statement to the President of Poland. In addition to President Andrzej Duda, the appeal was addressed to the Presidents of the European Commission, the European Council, and two European Commissioners.

It was also reported that due to the blockade of the border by Polish carriers, military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces was being delayed. According to journalists, the cost of transportation from Poland to Ukraine, which was usually estimated at $1,700-2,300 per container, increased to $5,000 in November.
