Let him continue to steal: VAKS released the head of the Antimonopoly Committee Kirilenko on bail of 30 million

On August 28, 2024, the investigative judge of the HACS applied a preventive measure to the head of the Antimonopoly Committee Pavel Kirilenko, suspected of illegal enrichment of UAH 56.2 million and declaring false information.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and NABU.

The court refused to satisfy the request of the NABU detectives, agreed upon by the SAPO prosecutor, for detention and applied a preventive measure to the official in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 30.28 million.

As the report says, the prosecutor does not agree with this court decision and is appealing it to the HACC Appeals Chamber.

Let us remind you: The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the High Anti-Corruption Court to take the head of the Antimonopoly Committee Pavel Kirilenko into custody with a bail of more than 121 million UAH.

NABU detectives, with the agreement of the SAPO prosecutor, reported suspicion of illegal enrichment of UAH 56.2 million and declaration of false information to the Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Pavel Kirilenko.

Among the acquired property:

  • 7 apartments in the cities of Kyiv and Uzhgorod with a total area of ​​688.5 sq. m. m;
  • house of more than 220 sq. m and 2 land plots near Kiev;
  • 2 garage boxes;
  • 6 parking spaces;
  • 3 non-residential premises with a total area of ​​more than 190 sq. m. m;
  • car "VMԜ X3".

The total value of the assets is UAH 61.7 million, while the legal income of the official and his family members did not allow such purchases, the SAPO stated.
