Workers of the Ukroboronprom plant robbed their enterprise

The fraud involves four employees of a defense company in collusion with civilians.

During the full-scale invasion, officials of Shepetovsky Repair Plant LLC (Khmelnitsky region, part of the state-owned Ukroboronprom) appropriated components for military equipment and weapons for the purpose of their further sale.

This is stated in the materials of criminal proceedings No. 42023242310000012 dated June 12, 2023.

According to a pre-trial investigation conducted by regional police investigators, the fraud involves four employees of a defense company in collusion with civilians.

During interrogation as a witness, one of the workers of the Shepetivka plant admitted: from time to time she took components for firearms and weapons from the enterprise, which she transferred to other persons for sale.

Law enforcement officers found directly from this woman:

• three fly guides for a Mosin rifle;
• 27 metal brushes for cleaning the barrel of rifled weapons of 7.62 mm and 5.45 mm caliber;
• sighting bar for AK-74; 203 metal screwdrivers for the AK-74 pencil case kit;
• 104 metal wipes for the AK-74 barrel; two parts for the trigger mechanism of an unidentified weapon.

Now this property has been seized.

The investigation found Novaya Poshta checks, bank cards, mobile phones and cash from other defendants.

Criminal proceedings are being investigated under Part 4 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code (“Appropriation of another’s property, committed on a large scale under martial law”). The sanction of the article is imprisonment from five to eight years.
