The first three places in the list of the largest construction companies in Ukraine in terms of net income in 2023 were taken by companies engaged in road construction.
After the destruction of the Kakhovka reservoir, they began to receive contracts for the construction of water pipelines.
This is evidenced by the rating of construction companies according to the official indicator of net income (according to the State Statistics Service) in 2023, published by the YouControl.Market service.
The ranking of the largest construction companies by income is as follows:
- 8.2 billion UAH - Avtomagistral-Yug LLC. Since last year, the company officially belongs to businessman Alexander Boyko. She was also associated with the entourage of Odessa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.
- UAH 8.1 billion - Avtostrada Group of Companies LLC, part of the financial and industrial group MS Capital of Maxim Shkil.
6 billion UAH - Rostdorstroy LLC. The Odessa company belongs to Yuri Schumacher, a deputy of the Odessa City Council from Odessa Mayor Trukhanov’s “Trust in Business” party, and businessman Evgeniy Konovalov.
- UAH 3.4 billion - Kosul LLC. The company is engaged in exploration drilling, its beneficiary is Rinat Akhmetov.
- 3 billion UAH - Salagro LLC. Kiev construction company, part of the Salagro group. The key person is Igor Yushko. The group's companies operate in the areas of supplying natural gas to industrial consumers; export of agricultural products, agricultural trading.
- UAH 2.9 billion - Onur Construction International LLC. Part of the “Onur” group of Turkish businessmen Onur and Ihsan Çetinceviz. The group companies are active participants in government public procurement procedures.
- UAH 2.5 billion - Kiev Energy Construction Group LLC. Part of the SVS-Dnepr group. Key persons are Vladimir Vypyrailo and Nikolai Kravchenko.
- UAH 2.1 billion - Realt-Stroy LLC. Engaged in the construction of residential and non-residential buildings, the ultimate beneficial owner is Yulia Kharchenko. She was also the head of several companies that are part of the BT Invest Group, which manages the Novus chain of retail stores and implements projects of the construction developer Stolitsa Group.
- UAH 2 billion – PJSC “Natural Resources”. The company is engaged in exploration drilling and is part of Victor Pinchuk's EastOne group.
- UAH 2 billion - PJSC “Holding Company “Kyivgorstroy”.
As already reported, after funding for road repair and construction was reduced from the state budget, the former largest contractors of Ukravtodor began to receive billions of orders for the construction of water pipelines and protection for energy facilities.
In particular, last year, the Service for Rehabilitation and Development of Infrastructure in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, without bidding, concluded three contracts for the construction of main water pipelines to eliminate the consequences of the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by the Russians for a total amount of 12.62 billion UAH. The contracts were awarded to Avtomagistral-South (UAH 5.32 billion), Avtostrada Group of Companies (UAH 5.3 billion) and Rostdorstroy (UAH 2 billion).
These three companies are among the largest road repairers in Ukraine. They entered the Top 5 largest construction contractors in Prozorro during 2022-2023. “Avtostrada” took first place with an amount of 46.78 billion UAH, “Avtomagistral-Yug” took third place with an amount of 37.23 billion UAH, and “Rostdorstroy” took fifth place with an amount of 22.39 billion UAH.
However, the owner of Avtostrada, Maxim Shkil, complained in April that the state was not paying orders on time. According to him, the debt to Avtostrada alone amounts to UAH 12 billion.
