With the support of the FSB, the ex-florist planned to enter the Rada and lead the Odessa Republic

Evgeny Dolenko from Odessa, known as "Mazepa", began his campaign by advertising on transport.

Dolenko also provided the invaders with information about the locations of Defense Force units in the city, approximate locations of air defense positions, and energy infrastructure facilities, Dumskaya .

Also, according to the Office of the Attorney General, the spy reported to enemies the results of attacks using missiles and drones, and dropped photographs and marks on maps.

The SBU reported that Dolenko demanded that he be paid $5,500 monthly for his “services.”

Until recently, the person involved worked as a florist and ran a telegram channel dedicated to this. Odako then decided to dramatically change his priorities and began to build a political career - he joined one of the environmental organizations, placed his advertisements on several minibuses and positioned himself as a candidate in the future parliamentary elections.

The defendant agreed with the FSB to finance his election campaign. Also, in the event of occupation, he wanted to become the “head of the Odessa Republic” and head the regional branch of the United Russia party.

At the time of his arrest, the man had only managed to “earn” $1,300. The agent was caught taking photographs of an energy infrastructure facility.

At the spy's home, they found Molotov cocktails, which he wanted to throw at mass gatherings of people in the city center. Mobile phones with correspondence with enemy intelligence services were also confiscated from him.

The defendant was detained in a pre-trial detention center without the right to bail. An investigation is underway under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason).
