SAPO conducted searches of a NABU detective

The DDA of the National Police, one of the most corrupt law enforcement units controlled by Oleg Tatarov, was involved in the searches.

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office explained whether searches were really carried out at NABU on May 22.

As noted, SAPO provides procedural guidance in the pre-trial investigation conducted by the NABU Internal Control Department under Articles 364 and 387 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding the possible commission of criminal offenses by Bureau employees.

The corresponding proceedings were launched after a memo from the whistleblower, a NABU employee.

“We note that no searches or investigative actions were carried out in the premises of NABU at the initiative of SAPO prosecutors. In this criminal proceeding, a search was carried out exclusively at the place of residence of a current NABU employee, a detective from one of the units,” the SAPS emphasized.

The National Police of Ukraine was involved in the search due to insufficient resources of the NABU Internal Control Department. Employees of the National Police of Ukraine do not and could not have any access to the investigation materials of the National Bureau.

This is truly an unprecedented event.

With the sanction of the special anti-corruption prosecutor Klymenko, SAP prosecutors and employees of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police conducted searches of one of the detectives of the NABU special unit, who is working undercover.

NABU employees are frankly shocked that the head of the SAPS Klimenko, himself a former NABU detective, attracted the DSR of the National Police to action against NABU - one of the most corrupt law enforcement units that carries out the commands of the all-powerful deputy head of the president's office Oleg Tatarov - who at one time was one of the suspects NABU case.

Today's actions by SAPO demonstrated a conflict between two anti-corruption bodies, the consequences of which will now be unpredictable.

It is noteworthy that the undercover agent unit is the most secretive in NABU, and the fact that Klimenko actually gave the police and Tatarov access to much of the work of this unit must have a very good reason.
