The Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicion to the Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman, who is financing the aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
The SBU reports this in a Telegram.
“The security service has documented the criminal activities of the Russian oligarch Mikhail Fridman, who is involved in financing the war against Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he has “poured” about 2 billion rubles into several military factories of the aggressor country,” the report says.
Among them are the Tula Cartridge Plant, which produces cartridges, as well as the Ural Optical-Mechanical Plant named after Yalamov, which produces high-tech equipment for Russian combat aircraft and helicopters.
“To finance the Kremlin’s predatory ‘projects’, the oligarch uses the assets of the Russian financial and investment consortium Alfa Group, which he controls,” the report said.
He also used his own business resources for the mass distribution of dry rations, clothing and other products under the trademark “Russian Army”, which are supplied to the invaders on the front line.
At the same time, Friedman organized the collection of material and technical assistance for the needs of the Russian Federation’s aggressive groups fighting in Ukraine.
In addition, the oligarch's insurance companies took upon themselves the insurance of military equipment, as well as the life and health of Russian invaders at the front.
The Russian oligarch also ensured the cooperation of his own telecommunications enterprise with the FSB, which allowed him to conduct mobile communications controlled by the Russian intelligence service in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine.
Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators informed Friedman of suspicion under Part 3 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of actions committed with the aim of violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order or seizing state power, changing the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy).
Now the suspect is hiding from justice abroad. Comprehensive measures are ongoing to bring him to justice. The perpetrator faces up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
