The SBU prevented an assassination attempt on the head of the Kherson police department, Alexander Prokudin

This was announced by the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Malyuk during a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities

“A local resident of Kherson was detained on April 10. He organized, together with enemy intelligence services, an assassination attempt on Prokudin,” said Malyuk.

According to him, a new type of enemy fpv drone was launched from a depth of 12 km. The traitor directly on the spot carried out visual observation and adjusted the fire on Prokudin’s car.

“We managed to document all this. He was detained at the stage of the completed assassination attempt. The enemy drone, thanks to our electronic warfare systems, was landed on time,” the head of the SBU noted.

Malyuk also said that the SBU constantly counters the enemy’s penetration of critical infrastructure facilities and locations of defense industry enterprises.

“From the latest implementations, an FSB agent was detained in Dnepr, who was filming thermal power plants on his phone and preparing the corresponding strikes. Together with colleagues from internal security of the National Police, they detained a former policeman in Zaporozhye, who worked very closely at defense industry facilities. Several Ukrzaliznytsya employees were detained who provided information to the enemy regarding the logistical movements of weapons and weapons,” the official listed.

In total, he said, 47 agent networks were identified and documented over the past year. Since the beginning of the year, 11 intruders have been detected. All of them were detained.
