More supporters of the aggressor country, Russia, who publicly justified the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against our state, have been detained in Ukraine. The traitors also praised the Russian occupiers and the former USSR.
Law enforcement officers made the arrest on time and did not allow one of the traitors to hide on the territory of the Russian Federation. The press service of the SBU reports this.
Pro-Kremlin Internet agitators operated in Kharkov and Ivano-Frankivsk. To distribute destructive content, both defendants created anonymous accounts on the banned social network Odnoklassniki. There they published their anti-Ukrainian messages and reposted publications of Kremlin propagandists.
In the Ivano-Frankivsk region, a supporter of the occupiers popularized militants of the Russian private military company Wagner and spread fake news. He also tried to discredit Ukrainian soldiers on the front line in the Donetsk region, primarily the defenders of Avdiivka.
According to the investigation, the defendant is a native of the village of Dubenki, a former employee of the penitentiary service. During searches of his house, a mobile phone and computer equipment were found, which he used to spread hostile propaganda.
In addition, in Kharkov, SBU officers detained a criminal who praised the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation; he was “nostalgic” for the former USSR and hoped for the capture of the eastern region of Ukraine. Law enforcement officers noted that earlier this man received a message of suspicion, and after that he began to hide from the investigation and tried to hide in Russia.
Investigations into both facts are ongoing. The perpetrators face up to 8 years in prison with confiscation of property.
