The SBU reported suspicion to the former head of the pro-Kremlin party Dmitry Vasilets: he called for the destruction of Ukraine

The former head of the banned political party “State” Dmitry Vasilets was placed under suspicion for calling for the destruction of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

Case details

Even before the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, Vasilets moved to Moscow, where he publicly supported the aggressive war against Ukraine.

To spread enemy propaganda, Vasilets used his own channels on the YouTube video hosting site and the Telegram messenger with a total audience of more than half a million users.

On these resources, the person involved praised the regime of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, justified a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation and called for the destruction of our state.

He wanted to capture all of Ukraine

The SBU clarifies that he also repeatedly spoke out in support of the Kremlin during mass propaganda measures with the participation of representatives of the highest military-political leadership of Russia.

In addition, on the air of central television channels of the Russian Federation, he personally called for the seizure of state power and the entire territory of Ukraine.
