The collaborators worked in the occupation “department of social policy of the Russian Federation”, which operated after the capture of Kherson
The Security Service of Ukraine exposed two more collaborating officials in Kherson. One of them tried to escape from justice abroad. However, SBU officers prevented this and detained the attacker near the border with the European Union.
The SBU press center reports this.
The defendants turned out to be two officials: one from the city department of labor and social protection of the population, and the other from the regional representative office of the State Property Fund.
After the capture of the city, the women supported the Russian invaders and for this they received an “assignment” to the local occupation administration of the Russian Federation.
There they were given leadership “positions” in the ranks of the occupation unit of the “social policy of the Kherson urban district.”
Thus, one of the collaborators headed the “information work and document management department.” There she was engaged in re-registration of constituent documents according to Russian “legislation” and was looking for “personnel” for further employment in a pseudo-institution.
Another attacker was in charge of the so-called “accruals department.” According to investigators, she threatened local residents with the cancellation of social benefits if they refused to receive Russian passports.
Based on the collected evidence, the attackers were informed of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities).
Now both attackers are in custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
Stabilization measures were carried out by SBU officers in the Kherson region under the procedural guidance of the Kherson regional and Skadovsk district prosecutor's offices.
