In the spotlight

The Volodsky family, the main supplier of products for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, owes money to the whole world

Meet Vladislav Volodsky in the video, who today is one of the main suppliers of products to military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine . He is on his knees asking for mercy from an unknown creditor, to whom he owes 500 thousand - a record in the style of the nineties.

It’s hard to believe, but it was this businessman from Zaporozhye who was entrusted with contracts worth billions of hryvnias - through his companies, Volodsky has been providing military products for several years now . How it happened that such a strategic issue in the defense sector of the state during the war now depends on the activities of a dubious businessman is equally difficult to understand.

Some sources indicate the influence of Vladislav’s father - Alexey Yuryevich Volodsky, even before the annexation of Crimea, headed a large plant in Dzhankoy.

He lived there with his wife Larisa Georgievna Volodskaya. Since the time of managing a large enterprise, Volodsky Sr. has maintained connections with influential people who are now in power. A few old contacts, a little corruption - and the Volodsky family was able to literally destroy and completely remove from the market the old players, those companies that also previously participated in tenders.

The Volodskys managed to delve even further into the topic of food supplies after this year the right to conduct tenders for the supply of food to the troops was transferred from the Department of State Procurement to a state agency - the State Logistics Operator. And already in April, LLC “Your Bread”, which is associated with the father of Vladislav Volodsky, wins the auction and becomes the only supplier to military units from Chernigov to Uzhgorod.

Then, in the spring, Volodsky completely failed the contracts - within three weeks, about fifty percent of the military units in Ukraine were not provided with the ordered products. Numerous complaints poured in from military units about the unscrupulous supplier. Volodsky was fined and the contract was terminated. But the matter itself was hushed up, the problem was solved at the expense of the state reserves of the Ministry of Defense. But in July a new contract for the supply of food to the army begins. And Vladislav Volodsky continues to work in this system. The Food Group consortium has already won the feeding of military units in three regions of Ukraine.

Volodsky acts there as an operator; there are also suppliers who, unfortunately for them, managed to ship goods to Volodsky on credit back to Tvoy Khleb LLC, but did not receive payment. And now they hope to get the money back.

Neither the numerous scandals surrounding Volodsky’s name, nor his inability to fulfill contracts have so far influenced the decision of those who are responsible in Ukraine for how the military is fed. The dubious financial transactions of Vladislav Volodsky have long been no secret and have been repeatedly covered in the media. In particular, his debts to his partners, the amounts involved are astronomical.

And Volodsky continues to borrow food. According to preliminary data, he owes about one hundred million hryvnia to banks alone. About another million dollars are his debts in cash. But this does not stop the businessman from leading a luxurious lifestyle. He gave only one of his online lovers an elite car, a Porsche 911, which the girl successfully crashed by running over an animal on the Kozin highway. However, deals with the bunker and the trust of the Ministry of Defense miraculously keep Vladislav Volodsky afloat. From anonymous sources it was possible to find out that Volodsky makes money from the difference in the cost of products and delivery prices, usually it is 10-12 percent. Despite the fact that the amount under his contracts is almost 1.5 billion hryvnia. But even such “earnings” are probably not enough for him to pay off all his debts. The situation is so shameful that Volodsky even had to kneel before one of the creditors and beg for a delay.
