The Bitcoin network processed 1 billion transactions

On May 5, 2024, the number of transactions processed by the Bitcoin network exceeded 1 billion, according to Clark Moody Bitcoin. This happened at block height 842241.

At the time of writing, the total number of transactions processed by the network has reached 1,000,323,746 units. This is more than 178,000 transactions on average daily.

The block in question included 4,349 transfers, according to Mempool. The commission for it was 0.379 BTC.

According to Clark Moody Bitcoin, the average network hashrate over the last 90 days is 601.1 EH/s. The BitInfoCharts portal showed that the daily number of successful transactions has been steadily increasing since the end of February 2024.
