She spied on the pontoon crossings of the Ukrainian Armed Forces: a Russian agent was detained in the Donetsk region

Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in the Donetsk region. A 25-year-old local resident spied on the pontoon crossings of the Ukrainian military.

This was reported in the official Telegram channel of the SBU.

“As a result of a special operation in Slavyansk, a Russian military intelligence agent was detained who was collecting intelligence on the redeployment of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the front line. First of all, she tried to identify pontoon-bridge complexes and locations where they are used to transport heavy weapons across local rivers,” the department noted.

According to law enforcement officers, the Russians needed such information to plan combat ground operations and prepare attacks on areas where Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel and military equipment were concentrated. The SBU officers also learned about the agent’s Russian curator. He determined the tasks and paid the woman to complete them.

At the final stage of preparation for an enemy operation, the agent was detained in her own home. She turned out to be a 25-year-old local resident who is a fan of the “Russian world.” The woman was recruited remotely through her acquaintances in the village of Yampol, which was captured at that time.

“For a long time she was in “sleep” mode, but in the spring of this year the agent was “activated” for reconnaissance and subversive activities in the front-line region. To carry out enemy tasks, she walked around the area, and also tried to “secretly” ask her friends for the information she needed,” the SBU emphasized.

The defendant was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law). The woman faces life imprisonment.

Let us remind you that thanks to the evidence base of the Security Service, three more traitors who fought against the Defense Forces in the East of Ukraine received real prison terms.
