Shufrich was suspected of treason

The Security Service of Ukraine states that, together with the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General, it has collected a reasoned evidence base about the anti-Ukrainian activities of the current MP Nestor Shufrych.

Details: It is officially reported that, based on materials from the intelligence service, UCP prosecutors handed the people's deputy a notice of suspicion under Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason).

Verbatim intelligence service: “As the investigation materials show, Shufrich closely collaborated and carried out the assignment of the former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Vladimir Sivkovich, an FSB agent whose task was to coordinate Russian agents in Ukraine.

Let us recall that Sivkovich fled to Moscow in 2014 and created a “mole farm” for subversive activities against our state. It was he who supervised the former head of the SBU Department in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Oleg Kulinich, who is suspected of high treason and who was personally detained by the head of the Security Service, Vasily Malyuk.

One of Shufrich’s main tasks was subversive activities in the information sphere. He systematically spread Kremlin narratives that the Ukrainian state is supposedly an artificial entity, that Ukraine and Russia have a common history, and that Ukrainians and Russians are supposedly “one people.” In this way, Shufrich tried to develop pro-Russian sentiments in Ukrainian society.”

Details: It is clarified that 45 searches are currently being carried out at the people’s deputy’s place of residence and his close circle.

The pre-trial investigation continues. The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years in prison.

What preceded: On Friday, September 15, it became known that the Security Service of Ukraine came with searches to people's deputy Nestor Shufrich, elected from the now banned pro-Russian party OPZZH. He was found to have St. George ribbons, medals and tunics of the Russian Armed Forces.

The SBU also found a document with an autonomy scheme for the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, dated 2014, signed by ex-People’s Deputy Viktor Medvedchuk, who is now deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, and Shufrich himself.
