Scandal with Tishchenko. The petition to deprive him of his mandate has already received half the required votes

The petition to deprive the People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Nikolai Tishchenko of his powers in connection with his abuse of office received half of the required votes in less than 24 hours.

This is reported by the parliament website

As you know, the petition on the Verkhovna Rada website appeared after Tishchenko got into another scandal. This time because of the case of an attack by persons in camouflage uniforms on a former military man in the center of the Dnieper.

Suspicion has already been declared regarding the unlawful deprivation of liberty of the injured people's deputy; prosecutors will ask for house arrest for Tishchenko.

Reaction of the OP and the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko commented on the attack on the former fighter in the Dnieper during the telethon , noting that all those involved must be punished. And in response to the TV presenter’s question that the attackers could be people’s deputy Tishchenko’s security guards, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs said: “It doesn’t matter what kind of people they are. Every citizen must answer to the law.”

Klimenko also said that two criminal proceedings had been opened on this fact: infliction of minor bodily harm and unlawful imprisonment.

The head of the Presidential Office, Andrei Ermak, who is Tishchenko’s godfather, also responded to the conflict, noting that the MP’s behavior is absolutely shameful.

“I watched a video of the conflict between MP Tishchenko and a military man. There's nothing to even talk about here. The behavior of the MP is absolutely shameful. She has no excuses. Law enforcement agencies definitely have something to respond to. Yes, I have known Tishchenko for a long time. Indeed, he baptized his son. But that was many years ago. I have long ceased to perceive his actions and do not understand them. That’s why I don’t maintain any relationship with him,” Ermak wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also added that “such behavior of Tishchenko is incompatible with the status of a people’s deputy.”

Searches of Tishchenko and suspicion

Already this morning, June 25, searches were carried out at Tishchenko’s place, during which the State Bureau of Investigation announced to him a suspicion of unlawful deprivation of liberty of the victim (Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of five to ten years.

The version of the investigation is as follows: on June 20, 2024, in Dnieper, a group of people, on the instructions of a people’s deputy of Ukraine, unlawfully deprived the victim, a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, of his liberty. He was held for a certain period of time and suffered bodily harm. The investigation established that this was done by prior conspiracy by a group of people and with the use of physical force and special means.

In turn, the Office of the Prosecutor General was informed that they would petition for the election of a preventive measure in the form of 24-hour house arrest for the MP.
