In the spotlight

Did the scandalous Lvov “activist” Sprinsky systematically travel abroad during the war and never return?

In all cases, the reason for a man of military age to travel abroad is to accompany a disabled child.

From regionals - to Euromaidanists, and during a full-scale war - to the ranks of the “Monaco battalion”? Lvov protester Ivan Sprinsky, known for his participation in numerous scandalous actions and problems with the law, systematically traveled to Europe in 2023-2024 as an accompanying child with a disability, and probably did not return to Ukraine from the last such voyage.

According to information that journalists received from their own sources in the State Border Service, during the martial law regime, Ivan Sprinsky repeatedly crossed the border of Ukraine.

So, on August 15, 2023, he left through the Krakovets checkpoint. From August 16 to 21, Ivan was in Germany, and from August 21 to 29 - in Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic. On August 29, Sprinsky returned to his homeland, also through Krakovets.

And on December 27, the man again left Ukraine through the same checkpoint. On January 1, 2024, he was recorded in Belgium, and from February 9 to 16, he was most likely in Austria. Since then, it is no longer possible to determine his whereabouts using Sprinsky’s phone number, but there is no information about the return of the so-called activist to Ukraine.

In all cases, the reason for a man of military age to travel abroad is to accompany a disabled child.

Note that Ivan Sprinsky is known as a Ukrainian public figure, Euromaidan activist, volunteer, head of the public organization “Slaves are not allowed into Paradise”, initiator of the creation of the 1st and 2nd medical companies under the National Guard of Ukraine.

However, there is a lesser-known fact, which political scientist Taras Vozniak wrote about at one time: during the time of Yanukovych, Sprinsky headed the “Young Regions” cell in Lviv, and during and after the Revolution of Dignity he sharply changed his political color, became a “Maidanovite” and grew Cossack bangs . In subsequent years, the ex-regional activist made a dizzying career as a street activist, pickingeting almost all government agencies and local authorities in the Lviv region.

In October 2018, he was interrogated as a witness in the case of the seizure of a government building. In September 2019, investigators from the Galician regional police department officially charged Ivan Sprinsky with hooliganism for throwing paint at two officials of the Lviv City Council.

In addition, ironically, in the last few years, Sprinsky, who traveled abroad several times during the war, actively exposed alleged facts of corruption in the State Border Service, talking about them as his “dreams.”
