How many of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine mobilized people?

July 16, 2024 is the deadline for men aged 18-60 to update personal information for military registration - current address, telephone numbers and email.

The war in the country concerns everyone, including the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

Therefore, journalists asked officials how many employees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine are currently mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Parliament reported that as of June 17, 2024, they employed 878 people, of whom 53 were mobilized during the full-scale war.

“We inform you that from among the employees of the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and state enterprises and institutions related to the sphere of Administration of the Office of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 37 people were mobilized in 2022, in 2023 - 8, in 2024 - 8. Also mobilized for military service during a special period of 34 assistant-consultants of people's deputies of Ukraine of the ninth convocation. Of those mobilized, one was killed, 8 were injured and one was missing,” says the response to the request.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since May 18, when the Reserve+ application began operating, 2 million citizens have already used its services to update personal data and prepare military registration documents.

On April 11, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a bill on mobilization as a whole, but without a norm on demobilization. 283 people's deputies out of 226 required voted for this decision. The law came into force on May 18, within 60 days all men of military age had to register. After the specified period, those who have not updated the data will face a fine of 17-25.5 thousand hryvnia. If a person does not pay the fine within 15 days, other enforcement mechanisms may be applied to him, such as seizure of property, blocking of bank accounts, and even criminal prosecution.
