How much does the head of the Ministry of Justice Stefanishina earn?

The head of the Ministry of Justice has one of the largest salaries in the Government. The salary of the new head of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina for October 2024 amounted to 88.4 thousand hryvnia.

This is stated in the official response of Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers Pavel Polyansky to the request. Stefanyshina took the post of Minister of Justice on September 5, 2024, replacing Denis Maluska in this post. Before that, she worked as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, in January 2024 Stefanishina received 79.9 thousand hryvnia, in February - 64.5 thousand, in March - 72.2 thousand. In addition, her highest salary was calculated in July - 83.9 thousand hryvnia, including vacation pay.

The salary of an official is on average 60-70 thousand hryvnia. Additionally, she receives payment for business trips. In September, after her appointment as Minister of Justice, her salary amounted to 63.3 thousand hryvnia.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during 2024 Stefanyshyn did not receive financial assistance to resolve social issues and improve her health.

He has diplomas as an international lawyer from the Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and a finance specialist from the Odessa National Economic University. She began her career in private legal practice, then worked in the Ministry of Justice and the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers. In 2020, she became Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration. Under her tenure, Ukraine and the EU officially began accession negotiations.
