Change of leadership in the State Emergency Service: Kruk dismissed after inspections

The duties of the chairman of the State Emergency Service are entrusted to deputy head Vladimir Demchuk.

The government decided to dismiss Sergei Kruk from the post of chairman of the State Emergency Service (SSES).

As stated in the message of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the duties of the chairman of the State Emergency Service are entrusted to the deputy head of the service, Vladimir Demchuk.

“The internal audit at the State Emergency Service has been completed. Based on its results, additional personnel decisions will be made. The State Emergency Service is operating as normal,” the message says.

Let us remind you that on August 4, the Pechersky District Court of the city of Kyiv chose preventive measures for five officials of the State Emergency Service, who were declared suspects in the case of the crash of a State Emergency Service helicopter in Brovary on January 18, 2023.

On the same day, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko announced personnel changes in this department. “Regarding the State Emergency Service. We will soon publish the results of internal audits. There will be changes,” he said then.

Who is Sergey Kruk

The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Sergei Kruk as head of the State Service of Ukraine for Emergency Situations on February 16, 2022. He replaced Nikolai Chechetkin in this post, who was fired on November 10, 2021.

Before his appointment, Kruk worked as the head of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Rivne region.

In general, Sergei Krug has been working in the fire department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the State Service for Emergency Situations since September 1994.
