DBI employees completed a pre-trial investigation against an officer in the Office of Assistants to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who gave grenades to his deceased colleague Gennady Chastyakov.
This is discussed on the DBR website .
The military man was first informed of suspicion of illegal sale of military supplies. On that tragic day, he gave the deceased an explosive "gift" of grenades in honor of his birthday, without warning about the authenticity of the grenades or making sure those gathered understood that they were receiving explosive devices.
While unpacking the “gift” at home, one grenade exploded in the hands of Chastyakov, who at first believed that these were souvenir glasses. He died on the spot, and his son received serious injuries.
The defendant was informed of a change in suspicion. He is charged with theft, misappropriation and sale of ammunition, negligent homicide and negligent infliction of grievous bodily harm.
After the defense and victims familiarize themselves with the investigation materials, the case will be sent to court. Procedural management is carried out by the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Central Region.
