The US can provide Ukraine with security guarantees based on the Israeli model

Vladimir Zelensky confirmed long-standing rumors that the United States will provide Ukraine with security guarantees based on the Israeli model.

“With the United States, we will probably have such a model, the Israeli one, where there will be weapons, technology, training, finances and so on,” the president said in an interview with Natalya Mosiychuk, which was shown on the telethon on August 27.

The Israeli model involves US assistance, without guarantees of participation in hostilities. Zelensky confirmed that Western countries do not want “to be drawn into the war in Ukraine by their personnel.”

Vladimir Zelensky assured that these guarantees from the United States will also apply in the event of a change in the American president.

“She will act because these are things that are voted on by Congress. Accordingly, in European countries they are supported by the parliaments of states,” Zelensky noted.

When asked what will happen if Ukraine does not receive an invitation to NATO next summer, Zelensky said: “In a year.”
