The United States explained that it will not provide financial assistance to Ukraine, as at the beginning of the war

The US will create its own military industry base, and funding for Ukraine will be reduced.

The United States does not plan to increase military funding to Ukraine at the 2022-2023 level. The purpose of American support is to help Ukraine build its own military-industrial base. State Department spokesman Matthew Miller emphasized that Washington is committed to helping Kyiv independently finance, produce and purchase weapons.

This was reported by the publication “European Truth”.

“We will continue to support Ukraine, but not at the level of military funding in 2022 and 2023,” Miller said. Noting that Congress must pass a bill for additional funding, he emphasized the need to reach a level where Ukraine can independently defend itself.

Earlier, the White House reported that there were no funds for new military assistance to Ukraine until it was passed by the US Congress. At the same time, the United States is preparing for a possible major war in the Middle East as a result of a series of attacks in Iraq, Lebanon and Iran.

Plans have been developed to respond to Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. There is intelligence about possible attacks on the United States and its allies by Iranian-backed forces in Iraq and Syria.

There are also opinions that the war in the Gaza Strip has gone far beyond the enclave, which could be dangerous for regional security and Biden’s chances of re-election, Politico . President Biden previously noted the need to quickly approve additional assistance for Ukraine.

On December 27, the United States announced its final military aid package for Ukraine in 2023, worth $250 million. The president's request to Congress for additional funding has been stalled by partisan differences over border security with Mexico.

Let us remind you that the United States is providing Ukraine with the latest package of military assistance for $250 million , which completed the 2023 tranches.
