The plant, associated with People's Deputy Alexander Kunitsky, sold goods to Crimea and Russia

The Kharkov enterprise, as stated in the material, began a partnership in 2021 with a Crimean businessman, who, based on products from this plant, built a network of gas stations on the peninsula under the auspices of the occupation authorities.

The Ukrainian plant Autoenterprise, which produces charging stations for electric cars in Kharkov, is associated with Alexander Kunitsky, a people's deputy from the Servant of the People party, who supplied products to Russia and occupied Crimea.

Since 2016, despite the Russian invasion, the company, as stated in the material, has been supplying products to Russia. The corresponding goods were supplied to the state structure Rosset.

The Kharkov enterprise began a partnership with a Crimean businessman in 2021. Based on the products from this plant, he built a network of gas stations on the peninsula under the auspices of the occupation authorities.

The authors of the investigation documented the circumstances and the entire path along which Ukrainian-made charging stations from Kharkov ended up on the occupied peninsula. Journalists provided evidence that cast doubt on Autoenterprise management's assertion that they did not know the final purpose of their products.

They analyzed about a dozen contracts of the Autoenterprise holding. Journalists verified the relevant documentation using the ImportGenius import-export database and the Washington Defense Studies Center.

The company “AE Factory” from the Autoenterprise group was engaged in the supply of equipment from Kharkov to Russia. Sales were recorded in Lipetsk, Voronezh, Balashikha, Belgorod, Krasnodar, Moscow, Zelenodolsk.

Equipment from the territory of Ukraine was transported directly by truck to the Belgorod region. This happened through Slobozhanskaya customs in the Kharkov region.

The company, as stated in the investigation, has remote access to its own chargers, wherever they are installed.

Kunitsky reaction

Kunitsky himself stated that he does not know how the Kharkov electric charging stations ended up in Crimea. He noted that “he had nothing to do with sales.”

Activities of the Autoenterprise holding

The Autoenterprise holding produces and installs charging stations for electric cars. The company also imports cars from abroad through taxi and car sharing services. Kharkov resident Dmitry Nikonov is the official owner of the group of companies. Documents obtained by journalists indicate that Kunitsky was deeply integrated into the holding and worked in various positions in Autoenterprise companies.
