Connections with Leps and Russian companies: The SBU announced suspicion of the wife of the ex-People's Deputy of the Party of Regions

On Tuesday, June 4, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announced suspicion of the wife of the former People's Deputy of the Party of Regions, Inessa Markova. She is charged with high treason. This is stated in the official Telegram channel of the department.

It is noteworthy that in 2014, the suspect left for Russia with her husband. Currently, Inessa Markova is a co-owner of a Russian IT company whose activities are aimed at developing software for Russian military aviation.

In addition, the investigation reports that the suspect, even before the full-scale aggression, established the “Engineering Center for Analytical Data” in Russia, one of the co-founders of which is the Russian singer Grigory Leps, who supports the Putin regime.

The company, fulfilling the government order of the Russian Federation, is developing on-board systems for combat helicopters of the aggressor country.

Moreover, this is not the only assistance that Markova provides to Russia.

“It is documented that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the defendant’s company has supplied software products worth more than 100 million rubles to the Russian occupation groups,” the SBU said in a statement.

Based on the evidence received, law enforcement officers announced suspicion to Inessa Markova; she is suspected of committing high treason under martial law.

It should be noted that the court seized the property of the suspect in Odessa, the total value of which exceeds 250 million hryvnia. In particular, we are talking about a private house, commercial real estate and land.

It is noteworthy that in May 2023, the SBU reported suspicion to a male suspect, Igor Markov, among the incriminated articles there is also high treason.
